About Our New Packaging

When is the packaging changing?

We have already started rollout out our new packaging - until this process is complete, you may receive your meals in both packaging types.

Why is the packaging changing?

We are always striving to enhance the quality and experience of our meals. By actively listening to customer feedback and conducting continuous testing, we’ve developed a new package that delivers more benefits than ever before!

What is different about the packaging?

First of all, it contains higher quality ingredients, strategically separated by compartments that will heat more.evenly thanks to the new layout.

Secondly, our company saw an opportunity to create something that is better for the environment, so we reduced the amount of plastic projected to eliminate 10 tons of plastic waste in 2025!

Additionally, the packaging is more durable and provides secure coverage, ensuring meals are better protected during transportation while minimizing leaks and reducing the risk of contamination.

And lastly, the new label is clearer and extends to the side, so now you will be able to identify the meal and its basic information without having to pick it up.

How safe is the new packaging?

Our trays are made from 100% recyclable, food-grade, U.S.-sourced materials and are completely free from toxic chemicals, additives, and heavy metals. The black color is purely aesthetic and does not contain iron oxide pigments or metallic additives. They are microwave-safe and made with non-outgassing resins, ensuring they do not release harmful gases or chemicals when heated. They are also PFAS and BPA-free, with no use of these chemicals at any stage of the production process.

How should I use this new packaging?

No change in how your enjoy your meals - follow the dates for consumption before or after freezing.

As for cooking, you must first remove any sauce cups that are inside the package. Then, make sure the "ideal seal" is cracked/open and then place/heat it in the microwave (and nowhere else).

Once you have enjoyed your meal, you can recycle the container or you can put it in the dishwasher so you can reuse it.

Will this affect my deliveries and/or in-store experience?

No. You will have the same Ideal experience you are accustomed to. Delivers to you and or stores will be business as usual.
